Enticing Future
Step 1: Define Your Goal
Choose a goal you’d like to achieve in, say, five years. Think about who you want to be by then, in which areas you want to do or not do certain things, how you want to live, with whom, and what well-formed criteria would look like for you.
Step 2: Visualize the Goal
Create a dissociated self-image. See yourself having achieved the goal. Is there anything you can or should optimize about it (submodalities)?
Step 3: Place the Goal Image on Your Timeline
Bring your timeline into mind. Where do you want to plant this goal image? Choose the spot that feels or seems exactly right. Associate into it and check that everything is okay.
Step 4: Review
Dissociate from that position and check if something is missing. If so, send the needed resources there, refine submodalities, and associate into it again to see if now everything fits.
Step 5: Find Resources
Now look along your timeline for the resources you need and anchor them. Distribute them where you’ll need them (activate anchors). Check: Are you missing anything else? If so, repeat.
Step 6: Review from the Present
From the present moment: How does your future entice you? How does your past support you? How do all these factors in the present give you direction?
Step 7: Future Pace
What concrete steps will you take to reach your goal? What are your first moves? Imagine yourself taking them.
