Metaprogram: Judging - Perceiving
People relate to their environment either in a judging or perceiving way.
Judging:
People with this meta-program tend to ensure that their environment adapts to them. They have a plan and a goal, organizing their lives to align with these plans and objectives. They like things to be neat and structured. They have no trouble forming an opinion and making a decision. Once they’ve formed an opinion, they stick to it until new information forces them to reconsider. They prefer when something, like a project, is completed; they love finishing things.
Perceiving:
People with this meta-program tend to adapt to their environment. They love living in the moment and doing things spontaneously based on what they feel like at the time. They like to act based on their intuition. It is very difficult for them to make a decision, and once they’ve made one, they often change it very quickly. They prefer to keep many options open and avoid finishing things definitively.

Recognizing and Identifying
Judging: These people live according to a plan and love making lists of what needs to be done, when, and in what order. They love their time system and are pleased when their schedule is clear and well-organized. Without their planner, they feel incomplete. They are punctual or a bit early for appointments and expect punctuality from others. They stick exactly to agreements. They make decisions easily. They behave in a way that allows them to have as much control over their life circumstances as possible.
Perceiving: These people love their spontaneity and thus hate any form of planning. Scheduling daily routines, setting fixed appointments, etc. They feel constrained and unfree by such arrangements. They often don’t stick to agreements. They are frequently late for appointments and generally have a poor sense of time. They are reluctant to make decisions because they feel that every decision cuts them off from valuable opportunities. They try to understand life and adapt to it.
