Problem Definition

In order to solve or resolve problems, it is generally useful to know exactly what the problem consists of. The Meta-Model questions help with this.

Inquiring and Reframing the Desired State:

  1. Description:
Using Meta-Model Questions to Define the Problem State/Collect Information:

    • In what situations or occasions does
    • What do you experience in this state? (VAKOG)
    • Have there been situations where this did not occur?
    • Reframing the Problem (Secondary Gain, Positive Outcome)
Goal: Develop a shift in perspective and thereby gain more understanding of the own problem (=state change, possibly reconciliation physiology)

      • Has your previous behavior/this problem had any positive impact or consequence?
      • Have you perhaps learned something very important about yourself/others/life through it? (Suppose you had...)
      • Suppose something about this is positive, what could that be?
      • Could this behavior/state be useful or meaningful in any context?
      • Have you possibly experienced any advantage (attention, care, break, etc.) through your previous behavior, even if it's minimal?
