Perception, Calibration, and Rapport

Masters of communication meet their conversation partner in their experience of the world and are able to guide them based on that. Learn the art of establishing deep, trusting contact through verbal and nonverbal communication and leading the conversation.

Perception

In our communication, we can only use information that we have received. This is only possible with open senses. If our perception is blocked, our communication cannot flow.

Calibration

In perception, it is not only important to pay attention to generalities but also to specifically tune in to the other person individually. NLP rejects the idea of assigning a universal meaning to body language for all people in every situation. Instead, a new concept called calibration was developed, which emphasizes the individuality of a person.

Rapport, Pacing, and Leading

The prerequisite for any good communication is trust. Most people have few good strategies to create sympathy with others. NLP teaches a range of very effective methods to bring oneself closer to others and build a bridge. This is called rapport, pacing, and leading.
